High-Temperature Resistant Hammer Union Seals for Oilfields

Product Overview

In extreme oilfield environments, standard seals often fail due to thermal degradation and pressure spikes. Our High-Temperature Resistant Hammer Union Seals are specifically engineered to maintain their mechanical properties under intense heat. Designed for high-pressure flowlines, these seals provide a reliable, leak-proof barrier, ensuring safety and efficiency in deep-well drilling, steam injection, and high-temperature production applications.

Key Advantages for High-Temp Operations

Thermal Stability: Formulated to resist hardening, cracking, and loss of elasticity at elevated temperatures.
High-Pressure Reliability: Specifically designed to withstand the rigors of 10,000 to 15,000 PSI environments without extrusion.
Chemical Resilience: Excellent resistance to hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and aggressive oilfield chemicals.
Optimized Geometry: Precision-molded to fit industry-standard union grooves, ensuring a secure "metal-to-metal" assisted seal.

Material Comparison for Thermal Environments

Choosing the right material is critical for high-temperature success. We offer three primary compounds:

1. FKM (Fluorocarbon / High-Temp Polymer):
Heat Rating: Exceptional. Best for constant exposure to high heat.
Compatibility: Highly resistant to chemicals and oils; ideal for extreme downhole conditions.

2. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile):
Heat Rating: Superior to standard NBR.
Compatibility: High mechanical strength and abrasion resistance; excellent for "Sour Gas" (H2S) service and heat up to 150°C.

3.PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) with Elastomer Core:
Heat Rating: Highest available.
Compatibility: Virtually universal chemical resistance; low friction for easy assembly and disassembly.

Technical Specifications & Parameters

Our seals are built to meet or exceed industry requirements for high-temperature and high-pressure (HTHP) service.

Seal Sizes: Available from 1" to 4" (Common sizes: 2", 3", 4").
Working Pressure Range:
Medium Pressure: 6,000 PSI (Fig 602)
High Pressure: 10,000 PSI (Fig 1002)
Ultra-High Pressure: 15,000 PSI (Fig 1502)
Sour Gas Rated: Up to 20,000 PSI (Fig 2202)

Temperature Limits:
HNBR Seals: -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +302°F)
FKM Seals: -20°C to +200°C (-4°F to +392°F)
Specialty PTFE: Up to +250°C (+482°F)

Application Scope

These high-temperature seals are the preferred choice for demanding oil and gas operations, including:
1. Steam Injection & EOR: Enhanced Oil Recovery processes requiring high-temperature steam.
2. Deep Well Drilling: Applications where geothermal gradients lead to high ambient downhole temperatures.
3. Fracturing (Frac) Manifolds: High-pressure fluid transfer where friction and environmental factors raise temperatures.
4. Well Testing & Production: Handling hot crude oil and gas directly from the wellhead.
5. Geothermal Energy: Sealing fluid lines in geothermal drilling and extraction.

Industry Compatibility

Our seals are designed for universal compatibility with standard hammer union "Figure" configurations used in the global market:
Standard High-Temp: Fig 602, Fig 1002.
Severe Service High-Temp: Fig 1502.
H2S/High-Temp Service: Fig 2202.

Quality Standards & Ordering

We adhere to strict quality control protocols, testing for compression set, tensile strength, and hardness (Shore A) to ensure every seal performs in the field. When requesting a quote, please specify:
Figure Number: (e.g., Fig 1502)
Nominal Size: (e.g., 2 inch, 3 inch)
Maximum Operating Temperature: (Required for material recommendation)
Chemical Exposure: (e.g., H2S presence, CO2, or heavy aromatics)
