Specify this purple hammer union seal with stainless backup by its approved drawing and compound. The purchase specification should identify the union figure and nominal size, sealing profile dimensions, tolerances and required support ring. Figure 607, 1502, 1002, 206 and 602 refer to separate mating designs.

Agree the sample inspection requirements before batch supply: seal dimensions, sealing edge condition, rubber hardness and stainless ring dimensions and grade where applicable. The listed 80-95 Shore A range is a rubber enquiry range; select the actual target for the approved compound and fit. Colour can be specified for identification, but it does not establish polymer type or performance.

Request the compound identification and any agreed inspection documentation with the quotation. NBR, HNBR and FKM must be reviewed for the actual fluid and temperature exposure; PTFE is a separate thermoplastic alternative requiring its own design. Confirm the complete assembly rating and any gas-service qualification required for the application.
