Cylindrical Chair Leg Caps and Rubber Stoppers: Choose External Cap or Insert Plug
Specify whether the furniture part is an external cap fitted over the chair leg or an insert plug fitted inside a hollow tube. For an external cap, provide leg outside diameter or section dimensions, cap inside profile and insertion depth. For an insert plug, provide tube inside dimensions, wall thickness and retention profile. A cylindrical stopper and a chair leg cap are not interchangeable by outside diameter alone.
Select NR, silicone, NBR or another agreed compound for the actual floor contact, cleaning agents and environment. The original 40-80 Shore A range is an option reference; agree a target and tolerance for the chosen design. Colour, flexibility and hardness influence handling and contact behaviour but do not by themselves prove non-marking or slip performance.
For a sample order, confirm wall and base thickness, edge profile, any vent or fixing hole and the required fit. Check retention on the actual furniture leg and surface marking on the intended floor before batch production. Include quantity, colour, logo position and packing requirements in the enquiry so the approved sample defines the repeat order.
