HNBR and FKM Hammer Union Seal Rings for FIG 1502 Assemblies
HNBR and FKM hammer union seal rings are replacement options for specified FIG 1502 oilfield connections. Select the exact elastomer compound and seal construction using the union manufacturer drawing and operating specification. The 1502 designation identifies a union figure rather than a pressure value.

1. Assembly Rating: Provide the complete FIG 1502 union rating, working conditions and pressure cycles. An individual seal ring does not inherit a pressure rating from its figure designation.
2. HNBR or FKM Selection: State the approved compound reference, process-fluid composition, additives and cleaning conditions. Confirm compatibility and service limits for the selected formulation.
3. Profile and Support: Match the rubber profile and any metal anti-extrusion components to the FIG 1502 assembly drawing. Include inspection of the mating seal pocket in the replacement procedure.
4. Nominal Size: Identify the union manufacturer and nominal size for each order line. Confirm actual ring dimensions and tolerances before comparing alternative material options.
5. Gas-Service Requirements: Where gas exposure is involved, provide gas composition and pressure-release conditions. Qualification and acceptance criteria must cover the supplied compound and assembly.
