PTFE Grade and Finished Ring Dimensions for Replacement Orders
Provide the 2 or 3 inch nominal union size, FIG designation, manufacturer and approved drawing revision. Specify finished inside and outside dimensions, section profile and tolerances. Confirm the PTFE grade and any filler specification rather than assuming all PTFE constructions are interchangeable.
State process fluid, temperature exposure and pressure cycling for assembly review. Use the approved PTFE material specification and hardness test method where hardness is required; the elastomer Shore A range is not the acceptance specification for this PTFE ring.
