Colored NBR (nitrile) O-rings have a circular cross-section for a specified sealing groove. Color identification can be specified for AS568 dash sizes or metric inner-diameter and cross-section requirements. Specify the size and supplied compound separately from the requested color; appearance alone does not establish polymer, hardness or fluid compatibility.
For hydraulic, valve and pipe-connection applications, provide the fluid formulation, operating temperature, pressure, groove clearance and motion. Medical or other regulated applications require the applicable compound documentation and approval requirements.

Colored NBR O-Rings: Pair Color with a Compound and Size Reference
For mixed-color orders, list each size, compound reference, hardness requirement, color and quantity on a separate packing-list row. Confirm the color reference or approved sample. Retain the compound identifier on packaging so that color is not the only means of identification.

Changing color or hardness may change the compound formulation. Confirm the supplied grade for the duty rather than treating every colored ring as equivalent to a previously used black NBR ring.
