Nitrile NBR Hammer Union Lip Seal Rings for Oilfield Replacement
Product Introduction
Hammer Union Seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware.
Hammer unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. The seal is lipped to prevent it from falling out when inverted.

Nitrile Union Lip Seal Replacement: Inspect the Lip and Mating Surfaces
For an oilfield NBR lip seal replacement, identify the union figure and nominal connection size before comparing measured seal dimensions. Provide the original profile drawing or an identifiable sample, including lip height, section and any brass or stainless support ring.
Check the mating groove and sealing surfaces for visible wear or damage before fitting a replacement. A worn sample can help identify the part but should not be the sole basis for manufacturing dimensions. Confirm the profile and dimensional tolerances against the equipment drawing.
Select the nitrile compound for the actual oil or drilling fluid, temperature cycle and cleaning exposure. Confirm the required hardness and inspection documents for the ordered grade. The complete union specification establishes the permitted connection duty; this seal has no independent universal pressure rating. Review other listed materials separately rather than treating them as equivalent substitutes.
