Some profiles such as Fig 2202, Fig 1004, Fig 1502, Fig 2002, Fig 602, Fig 607, Fig 1002etc require a Hammer Union Lip Seal or an 'O'Ring depending on the Size of the Hammer Union.

Nominal union-size references include 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 inches. Nitrile, FKM or HNBR grades are selected against actual fluid and temperature; sour-gas service requires compound-specific qualification. In addition to the standard molded rubber seals, we offer these with either a brass or stainless steel anti-extrusion ring.

The 2-inch reference is the nominal union size. Figure 607 and the requested maker-style profile must match the equipment drawing; another figure with the same nominal size is not automatically interchangeable. Select NBR grade and hardness for the actual fluid and temperature.
