Product Introduction
Hammer Union Seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware.
Hammer Unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. The seal is lipped to prevent it from falling out when inverted.

3-Inch White PTFE Hammer Union Seal: Match the Part Drawing Before Customization
This page focuses on a white PTFE replacement seal for a nominal 3-inch hammer union connection. Confirm the union manufacturer and figure number before ordering; the broader material and size lists describe other range options. PTFE is a fluoropolymer, and its sealing behaviour differs from NBR, HNBR and FKM rubber.
For a custom PTFE part, provide outside diameter, inside diameter, cross-section, lip or seat profile and mating groove dimensions on the drawing. Specify virgin or filled PTFE grade and any brass or stainless support arrangement. White colour alone does not identify the PTFE grade or establish compatibility.
Review actual fluid composition, working temperature, pressure and assembly clearances with the selected grade and design. The original broad temperature table is a reference rather than a rated operating envelope for this finished seal. Agree dimensional tolerances, hardness test method and sample fit before batch production; changes in profile or material require a fresh fit review.
