4-Inch Colourful NBR Buna-N Hammer Union Seal for Oil-Drilling Connections
Product Introduction
Hammer Union Seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware.
Hammer Unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. The seal is lipped to prevent it from falling out when inverted.

Colourful NBR Union Seals: Separate Colour Identification from Heat-Service Approval
For this 4-inch nominal replacement, provide the union figure, existing seal dimensions and a photograph or drawing of the groove. Nominal connection size is not the seal outside diameter. Specify rubber-only, brass-backed or stainless-backed construction to match the original assembly.
When ordering black, red, purple, green or another agreed colour, pair the colour with a part number and approved compound. For heated drilling fluids, state the actual fluid, continuous temperature, short peaks and exposure duration. Confirm the NBR grade for that duty before treating the seal as a heat-service replacement.
Confirm hardness with its test scale, tolerance and compound documentation. Include cleaning fluids, storage conditions and required inspection documents in the enquiry. The complete union hardware determines the connection rating; changing seal colour or compound does not increase that rating.
