Black AS568 O-Rings — Dash Size and Seal Profile Selection

For a circular-section O-ring, provide the AS568 dash number or the required inner diameter and cross-section. NBR, EPDM, silicone and FKM are separate material options; FPM is another designation used for the fluorocarbon material family. Specify the compound grade and hardness rather than relying on black color for identification.
 
Confirm the seal profile before ordering. A flat or rectangular-section ring requires its own thickness, width and drawing and should not be specified by an AS568 O-ring dash number alone. Provide the mating gland, fluid, temperature, pressure and static or moving duty so dimensions and compound can be reviewed for the application.
