Hammer Union seals
NBR (nitrile/Buna-N) hammer union seals fit the matched seal recess in oilfield flow-line connections. For chemical-service enquiries, provide the fluid composition, concentration and operating temperature together with the union manufacturer, figure and part dimensions. Chemical compatibility must be assessed for the selected compound; the NBR material name alone does not establish resistance to every process fluid.

Material: Nitrile rubber is also called NBR, Buna or Buna-N. FKM, HNBR and PTFE are separately specified material options requiring confirmed dimensions and service suitability. Sour-gas use requires the appropriate material qualification and equipment specification. Brass or stainless steel anti-extrusion rings are available for specified part configurations; backing material and dimensions must match the identified union.
