FKM (Fluorocarbon): Review the specific grade against oilfield fluid formulation and temperature. FKM family identification alone does not establish H2S, acid or complete-union qualification.
NBR: Review the supplied grade for oil, water, additives and mechanical duty. Do not assign universal temperature or sour-service limits from the polymer name.
HNBR: Specify grade, hardness and required mechanical properties. H2S, CO2 and decompression exposure require particular compound qualification.
Material Comparison: FKM vs. NBR vs. HNBR
NBR Review: Confirm the grade-specific temperature and fluid limits with the compound specification and stated operating conditions.
HNBR Review: Agree mechanical, wear and gas-exposure requirements for the particular grade. Polymer family alone does not determine the permitted H2S concentration.
