V Series Swab Cup for Sand-Laden Fluids:
The V Series swab cup is described with an upturned lip profile for swabbing fluids containing suspended sand. Light-duty and heavy-duty variants require separate selection by cup construction and operating load. Confirm the lip geometry and support arrangement for the actual part before choosing a replacement.
For sand-laden service, specify solids concentration, particle size, fluid chemistry and retrieval conditions. Nitrile or a specified Frac Fluid compound can be reviewed against those conditions. Service life depends on abrasion, tubing condition and operating procedure; a general harsh-service description does not establish a rated life.

Our Swab Cups are produced from a newly developed rubber in the popular Guiberson* profile in either a nitrile or Frac Fluid compound. These cups can also be produced in other specified materials. Confirm the selected compound, dimensional tolerances and service requirements for each ordered cup.

Available types of Swab cups:
TA style:
TA is a separate medium-load style built around a steel or aluminum bushing. Confirm tubing dimensions, support geometry and compound for the requested TA part; its construction should not be substituted for a V style solely on nominal size.
V style:
The V style range includes light-duty and heavy-duty descriptions with upturned lips that can invert under excessive loading. Match the cup arrangement to the tool maker's operating procedure. The dimensional table on this page lists steel-core variants, so confirm the actual core and bore rather than assuming every V cup is all-rubber.
TUF style:
The design of the GE-TUF cup, with its internal metal reinforcement which maintains the shape of the cup, makes this an excellent choice for deep hot wells or rough and corroded tubing and casing. Strong enough for heavy loads, its flexability also allows it to work in light load situations.
NUF style:
The GE-NUF is a heavy load all rubber cup that provides maximum lifting capacity. Bonded to either standard steel or aluminum bushings, and available in a wide range of sizes, this cup is a good choice for deep well applications. This cup is designed for high performance and heavy loads. Made of our special Frac Fluid compound, it will perform under the toughest conditions.

The existing dimensional references are nominal 4-1/2, 5-1/2 and 7 inch sizes, with cup OD/ID pairs of 4.062/2.420, 4.970/2.920 and 6.475/3.545 inches. Match these part dimensions to the drawing, mandrel and actual tubing or casing bore; nominal well size alone does not establish fit.
