This molded oil packer element uses a drum-profile geometry that must match the mating tool and bore. The elastomer forms the sealing section of a complete packer assembly; its dimensions, compound and setting movement determine suitability for the intended service.
Sealing Function and Assembly Fit
During setting, the assembly deforms the rubber element against the specified sealing surface. Confirm the mandrel, bore diameter, support components and permitted deformation on the tool drawing. Differential-pressure capability belongs to the qualified assembly and cannot be determined from rubber hardness alone.
Selecting Geometry and Compound
For replacement or custom production, provide the part revision, inside and outside diameters, axial height and profile dimensions. Select the compound and nominal Shore A hardness for the fluid composition, temperature and exposure time. Match these requirements to the approved sample and assembly tests.
