Custom Rubber Packer Cups for Stimulation Tools: Pressure-Test Specification
Rubber packer cups are sealing components for the specified zonal-isolation or stimulation tool. Custom production requires the cup drawing, mounting geometry and reinforcement details. Select FKM, HNBR or nitrile rubber for the actual fluid exposure and temperature; drillability must be defined for the complete tool.
Features of the rubber oil packer cups:
1) Specify differential pressure, pressure direction and operating temperature.
2) Confirm the mating bore, mounting dimensions and cup construction.
3) Nominal 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 inch options or drawing-based custom sizes.
4) For a requested 150 °C (302 °F) pressure test, agree the test medium, pressure, duration and acceptance limits.
5) A requested 30-cycle test needs a defined cycle sequence and acceptance criteria.
6) Requested cups up to 30 inches require drawing and mold feasibility review.

Nominal tubing and casing references must be checked against actual cup dimensions. Supply mounting diameter, axial height, lip geometry and drawing revision before replacement fit is approved.

- The J swab cup is a durable, heavy-duty cup with a long, flexible lip and strong steel reinforcing wires which provide a good upstroke seal for lifting heavy loads.
- The GW swab cup is a heavy, flexible, single-lip cup reinforced by spring steel wire. The oversized lip creates a good upstroke seal.
