Colored Rubber O-Ring Seals — NBR, HNBR and FKM Options for Oil Service

These colored rubber O-rings support standard-size and custom sealing assemblies. Select the compound for the oil and temperature, then specify hardness and color separately so appearance is not used as a substitute for the material specification.
Provide the AS568 dash number or inside diameter and cross-section with tolerances. Custom dimensions and color options are confirmed for the selected compound.
NBR, HNBR and FKM options can be reviewed for oil service. EPDM and silicone options require evaluation for the actual fluid and cleaning conditions.

Application of the rubber o ring:

1. Oil-service joints: identify the oil type, temperature, pressure and cleaning fluids before selecting NBR, HNBR or FKM.
2. Assembly identification: an agreed color can help distinguish rings during handling. Verify the size and compound designation against the order specification.
3. Sealing fit: provide groove dimensions, clearance and movement when selecting hardness. Installation flexibility must be considered together with the operating requirements.
