Product configurations and ordering information
- O-rings and hammer union seal rings are offered in specified elastomer compounds. For H2S-containing service, provide the gas composition, temperature, pressure and required material qualification before selecting a seal.
- Match each seal to the equipment figure, size, manufacturer reference and groove drawing.
- Circular O-rings: specify inside diameter, cross-section, compound and Shore A hardness.
- Lip seal rings: specify profile dimensions, orientation and mating component.
- Brass-backed seal rings: specify rubber compound, metal dimensions and union reference.
- Stainless-steel-backed seal rings: specify metal grade, rubber compound and assembly drawing.
AS568 O-ring enquiries: provide the dash number, elastomer compound, hardness and quantity for each item; packing can be agreed with the order.
SHQN supplies standard-size and custom O-rings, together with seal rings for specified union designs. Plain O-rings and metal-backed seal rings are separate constructions and should be ordered against their own dimensions and part references.
Dimensions are defined by the AS568 dash number or component drawing. For custom rings, state inside diameter, cross-section or seal profile, units and tolerances.
Buna-N (NBR), FKM and HNBR are separate compound options. Selection depends on contacting media, temperature, pressure and the equipment specification.
Figure 1502 hammer union seal enquiries may cover nominal 1, 1-1/2, 2, 3 and 4 inch connections as listed. Nominal connection size is not the seal inside diameter; provide the exact union reference and drawing to confirm fit.
