AS568 Silicone O-Ring Sizes for Fluid-Seal Material Selection
Product Description
SHQN supplies silicone O-rings in standard and custom sizes. For an AS568 replacement, specify the dash number together with the silicone compound and hardness; a size designation alone does not define fluid compatibility.
Identify the ring by inside diameter and cross-section, with units and tolerances from the component drawing. For an existing assembly, include the groove dimensions rather than relying only on a stretched or worn sample.
Silicone, NBR, EPDM and fluorocarbon are separate material options. Select the compound for the actual fluid and operating conditions before confirming the order.

Application
Application of the rubber o ring:
A: Component replacement: match the specified AS568 size, groove and compound to the equipment drawing.
B: Assembly procurement: provide the mating surfaces, installation method and required quantity for each size.
C: Fuel, oil and coolant service: identify the exact fluid, concentration, temperature and exposure duration. Do not select silicone solely from the fuel or oil wording in a catalogue title; suitability depends on the compound and service conditions.
