AS568-012 NBR O-Rings with Silicone as a Separate Material Option
Product Description
SHQN supplies O-rings for AS568-012 size inquiries in specified NBR compounds. Buna-N and nitrile identify the NBR material family; confirm the compound grade and hardness for the intended service.
Specify AS568-012 and the required standard revision, then confirm inside diameter, cross-section and tolerances against the order drawing. Custom dimensions require a separate drawing rather than being treated as the same dash size.
Silicone is a separate material option for the requested ring dimensions. Review the actual medium, temperature, pressure and motion before selecting NBR or silicone.

Application
Application of the rubber o ring:
A: Replacement seals in housings designed for the specified ring dimensions; confirm groove geometry and installation clearance.
B: Custom sealing joints require a drawing with inside diameter, cross-section, tolerances and mating clearances.
C: For oil, coolant and other fluids, confirm the selected compound against the complete fluid formulation and temperature. The AS568-012 size designation does not establish operating limits.
