Specify the relaxed inside diameter and cross-section in millimetres, with tolerances on the part drawing. Review the selected NBR grade against the oil type and operating conditions, and agree the colour reference and sample requirements before ordering.

For small equipment joints exposed to oil, provide the oil and additive composition, operating temperature, pressure cycle and static or moving gland. Agree the required NBR grade and dimensions for that location. Avoid excessive installation stretch and sharp edges; assembly limits follow the approved gland design.
