2: Custom compression rubber parts:
Provide the gasket drawing or reference sample with profile, thickness, openings, bolt-hole positions and tolerances. Include mating-face dimensions and the intended compression or gland arrangement.
Specify the FKM compound and nominal Shore A hardness with tolerance. Identify the fluid composition, cleaning agents, normal and peak temperature, pressure and exposure duration for material review.
Define sealing-face finish, permissible flash and assembly compression with the joint design.
For a bonded gasket, specify the metal or plastic carrier and bonding acceptance criteria separately.Approve sample fit, hardness and dimensions before production. Leakage and pressure performance depend on the gasket compound and complete joint; agree test conditions for the intended assembly.
